The last time I went to Brooklyn, I went to Bia with a few friends, a Vietnamese restaurant in the Williamsburg neighborhood, and this place was excellent. The food and drinks were delicious, the vibes were very welcoming, and everything about this place was awesome.
To start my meal off, I had a cider beer, which was very light, refreshing and hit the spot. Cider beers, in my opinion, have a good balance of not being bitter, having some beer/alcohol strength, and having a fruity component, which I think is all terrific!
For food, I got two appetizers that were tasty and appetizing. The first appetizer I had was the 'Pork & Cabbage Dumplings,' and they were pan-fried with soy dipping sauce. The dumplings were terrific, as the shell had a crispy look and taste. The pork and cabbage filling was also delicious too. I also had the 'Grilled Chicken Skewer,' which was marinated in lemongrass and herbs with scallion oil. The chicken was super flavored and hit the spot. The seasoning on this was great, and I could eat these skewers every day if I could, lol.
Besides appetizers, you can order wings, salads, vermicelli noodle salad, pho and noodle soup, banh mi, rice plates and wok, sides, and more. Now, this place caters to people who are health conscious as they have gluten-free, healthy, and vegetarian options. This place is open every day except for Mondays from noon to 10 p.m., so do not make sure to go on a Monday, lol. You can order for pickup and delivery (through DoorDash) as well. Next time you are in Brooklyn and the mood for Vietnamese, make sure to stop by Bia in Williamsburg!
