Butler and the Board (Charcuterie - Montclair, New Jersey)

Butler and the Board invited me to come in over the weekend and try out their tasty menu. This place is in Montclair and is within walking distance to many great shops nearby. It is also great to check out on the weekends, especially Saturdays, as they serve brunch from nine a.m. to three p.m., which is when I went!

A good charcuterie does not always need to be over-the-top

When I went, I had to start with a charcuterie board! The board had country pate, chorizo, bread, homemade mustard, and bacon jam. Everything was fresh and tasty. Plus, what was great about this board was that it was light. It was not filling, which was perfect! The mustard was very simple with just salt, vinegar, and a few other simple ingredients, but it was spicy and more than I thought, lol. The chorizo and bread were good, however the pate and bacon jam were my favorites. I loved the bacon jam, as it was sweet and savory! I could have devoured an entire thing with no problem, lol.

An iced coffee a day is always necessary

I also got the 'Vietnamese Coffee,' which was really refreshing. It was sweet and had a lot of natural flavors that balanced it out well. You can get yours either hot or cold.

Bacon Sticky Buns are the next best sweet treat

On top of that, I also had the 'Bacon Sticky Bun,' which was phenomenal! It is a sticky bun with their bacon jam, and it tastes glorious! This is honestly a genius concept and an innovative way of using the bacon jam.

The 'Bourdain Sandwich' will easily make you hungry for one

In addition, I had to order the 'Bourdain Sandwich,' which has their housemade mortadella with pistachio and fontina cheese on a brioche roll. The sandwich was super delicious and was packed with flavor between mortadella, pistachio, and fontina. I would order this again for sure!

At Butler and the Board, you can order anything from their charcuterie boards, pates, fresh meats, terrines, gourmet sausages, marinated cheese, their brunch breakfast sandwiches on Saturdays, and a whole lot more. Vegetarian options are available here as well. For Saturday brunch, you can order your food through Uber Eats for either pickup or delivery.
