The Sushi Lounge in Totowa is a place in North Jersey with sushi galore. I live near this restaurant and have always heard good reviews people rave about the Sushi Lounge. However, I went for dinner with my mom for the first time a few weeks ago, and I was impressed. The vibe and aesthetic of this place are fantastic as well as the food and drinks. This is the perfect place for a fun night with friends and/or family.
To start my meal here, I had their 'Espresso Martini,' which was so good! Now, I do not think I need to explain what is in an 'Espresso Martini, lol, but the flavor between the espresso and liquer was incredible. It was sweet, strong, and a great perk-me-up.
For food, my mom and I got the 'Rock N Rolla,' and the 'Optimistic' rolls, which were the bottom two pictured. I cannot remember the roll on the top, but I think that was a special that night and was delicious! The 'Rock N Rolla' Roll came with spicy tuna and avocado topped with crispy rock shrimp tempura and spicy mayo and kabayaki sauces. This roll was sweet, savory, and oh-so-good, another great one from this place! The 'Optimistic' comes with tuna, salmon, avocado, masago, tempura flakes, and soy paper with three dipping sauces; sesame soy, jalapeno vinegar, and wasabi mayo. I found this roll to be delicious too, lol, and the sauces complimented them all great.
On top of that, my mom and I also got dessert and ordered the 'Maui Nachos,' which were cinnamon-dusted wontons with fresh fruit drizzled with raspberry and green tea sauce. These were phenomenal and loaded!! They were super sweet, sugary, tasty, and fresh. Eating these tasted like true, classic nachos, but in dessert form. Plus, if you are looking to get stuffed, these nachos will do the trick!
You can order anything here from lunch, dinner, dessert, drinks, and more. Happy Hour here is served in the bar and lounge area only from Monday through Friday from three to six p.m. One other weekly special here is half-off martinis only on Wednesdays. Also, you can order pickup and delivery on a delivery service app or place a pickup order by calling the eatery. If you are looking for somewhere to throw your next party or event, definitely consider Sushi Lounge and you can book and list all the information needed on the website. Something unique about the Sushi Lounge is that they have a food truck where they bring a slice of the restaurant to you, whether it is for lunch or a fun night. You can still get a taste of the food, drinks, and music without going to the establishment. Reservations can be made in advance through phone calls or on the website as well.
