Coffee shops are truly a vibe, as they cozy, comforting, and make feel relaxed between the ambiance, variety of coffee, and even the food sometimes. Over the weekend, I got to visit The Gray Street Coffeehouse in Allenhurst, and it had all those feels.
Of course, I had to get coffee, and I got the ‘Spanish Latte,’ which was an espresso with sweetened milk and cinnamon. This was really good and refreshing. Plus, usually I get the same coffee orders, so it was nice to mix it up, and this was a good way of doing so.
Next, I ordered the ‘Open-Faced Grilled Cheese’ and ‘Avocado Toast’ for food. The ‘Open-Faced Grilled Cheese’ had cheddar, roasted red peppers, and horseradish mayonnaise. This was delicious, and insanely flavorful! The horseradish mayonnaise won me over, and was so good!! The ‘Avocado Toast’ had avocado, tomato salsa, roasted green tomatoes, feta, and micro cilantro. Now I am huge avocado toast eater, I cannot get enough of it, and this exceeded my expectations! It was super refreshing, tasty, and light but filling at the same time, lol. I devoured the whole thing.
I also had to get a sweet treat while I was here too, and ‘Spelt Flour Chooclate Chip Muffin.’ For those who do not know, spelt is a type of flour that is high in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals that does not have much gluten. The muffin was good, and was a sweet way to end my experience at Gray Street.
